DYSLEXIA TUTORING
Building Confidence Through Individualized Tutoring
Individualized tutoring helps children who:
-say they hate to read and avoid it at all costs.
-get flustered when asked to read aloud.
-guess at words, add words, or skip words while reading.
-have difficulty spelling, which hinders their writing.
-read slowly, often robotically, without expression.
Why use a multi-sensory, structured literacy approach?
Multi-sensory instruction uses all learning pathways, including visual, audio, kinesthetic, and tactile. This helps students decode (sound-out) and encode (spell and write) words.
Teaching foundational literacy in a structured manner while using multi-sensory strategies helps students become skilled readers, spellers, and writers.
At Zenith Literacy, I know that learning to read can be difficult for some learners.
I strive to transform frustration and struggle into a lifelong love of reading.
My mission is to provide specialized, one-on-one online support that turns the struggle into confidence and empowers each child to reach their own personal zenith.
My Qualifications
At Zenith Literacy, I use Orton-Gillingham methodology and the Science of Reading strategies to rewire a child’s approach to language. I am a Certified Dyslexia Practitioner.
My certification was obtained through the Children’s Dyslexia Centers and the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council.
I specialize in learners who have been diagnosed with dyslexia, but the methods used to help students with dyslexia can help any student become a better reader.
